Terms of Service
Last updated: June 14, 2026
These are the terms for using Launch Sites. We've written them in plain English because we'd rather you actually understand the deal than wade through legalese. By using our service, you're agreeing to what's below. If something doesn't sit right, email us before you sign up.
The service, how it works
- We build you a free website preview first. You can look at it, share it, and decide if you like it before paying anything.
- When you're ready to go live, it's $97/month to publish. That covers hosting, your domain, the editor, and support, everything needed to keep your site online and let you make changes.
- You can cancel anytime. When you cancel, your published site comes down, because publishing is what the monthly fee pays for.
- If you'd rather own and host the site yourself, there's an optional one-time $299 export. You get your site files to host wherever you like, and you're no longer tied to our monthly plan.
Billing
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We don't store your full card details.
- The $97 plan is billed monthly and renews automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime, effective at the end of your current billing month. After that you won't be charged again.
- We don't issue refunds for the current month already in progress, but if something went genuinely wrong on our end, email us and we'll do the right thing. We aim to be fair, not technical.
- The one-time $299 export is a single charge for the export, not a subscription.
Who owns what
Your stuff stays yours. The photos, text, business details, and reviews you give us remain your property. You're just letting us use them to build and run your site.
Our stuff stays ours. Our website templates, design system, and the underlying code remain the property of Launch Sites, unless you buy the $299 export, in which case you get the rights to the exported site files so you can host them yourself.
You're responsible for making sure you have the right to use the content you give us (for example, that you own your photos or have permission to use them, and that your reviews are real).
Acceptable use
Keep it legal and honest. When using Launch Sites, you agree not to:
- Use the service for anything illegal, deceptive, or fraudulent.
- Post content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
- Publish fake reviews, misleading claims, or content that's hateful, harassing, or harmful.
- Try to break, overload, hack, or interfere with our systems or anyone else's.
- Resell or misrepresent the service as your own without our written okay.
If a site violates these rules, we may take it down. We'll give you a heads-up where we reasonably can.
Our honest disclaimer
The honest part We build you a clean, professional, fast website. That's what we're good at and that's what we promise.
What we do not promise: we do not guarantee search rankings, leads, traffic, sales, or revenue of any kind. A website is a tool, results depend on your business, your market, your pricing, your reviews, your follow-up, and plenty of things outside anyone's control. Anyone who guarantees you "page-one rankings" or a flood of customers from a website alone is not being straight with you.
The service is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it running well, but we can't promise it will be error-free or never go down. To the extent the law allows, Launch Sites isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last few months.
Cancellation and ending the service
You can cancel anytime, see Billing above. We may also suspend or end service if these terms are broken, if payment fails, or if we have to for legal or safety reasons. If your site comes down because you canceled and you later want it back, just reach out; we'll help where we can.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top and, when it matters, let you know. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled in California.
