Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
This is the short, honest version of how Launch Sites handles your information. We try to keep it simple: we collect what we need to build and run your website, we use it to do that work and stay in touch with you about it, and we don't sell your personal data. If anything here is unclear, just email us and we'll explain it.
What we collect
We keep this minimal. Here's what we actually collect:
- Contact details you give us, things like your name, business name, email address, phone number, and anything you type into a form or send us by email when you ask us to build or change your site.
- Content for your website, the photos, text, business hours, services, and reviews you provide so we can put your site together.
- Basic analytics, standard, mostly aggregate information about how our pages and your site are used (for example, page views, rough location by region, browser type, and referring links). This helps us keep things working and improve the product.
- Billing information, if you publish your site, your payment is handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number; Stripe processes that and shares limited details with us (like the last four digits and whether a charge succeeded).
How we use it
- To build, host, and maintain your website and the tools that go with it (editor, domain, support).
- To contact you about your site, onboarding, questions, edits you requested, billing, service updates, and support.
- To operate and improve our service, fixing problems, understanding what's useful, and keeping things secure.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations when we have to.
We don't sell your personal data
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties so they can market to you. The only outside companies that touch your data are the service providers we use to run the business, for example, our hosting, email, payment (Stripe), and analytics providers, and they only get what they need to do their job for us.
Email, marketing, and how to opt out
If you're a customer, we'll send you the messages you'd expect: things about your site, your account, and your billing. We may occasionally send tips or product news. You can opt out of those marketing emails at any time.
- Click the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email, or
- Email us at vincenzo@getlaunchsites.org and ask to be removed.
Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you essential service messages about your active site or billing, because those aren't promotional.
How long we keep your data
We keep your information for as long as you have an active site with us, plus a reasonable period afterward so we can handle billing, support follow-ups, and our legal or tax obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove the parts that identify you. If you cancel and want your personal information deleted sooner, email us and we'll take care of it, except for anything we're required to keep.
Your California privacy rights (CCPA)
If you live in California, the CCPA gives you the right to ask what personal information we've collected about you, to request a copy of it, to ask us to delete it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Because we don't sell personal information, there's nothing for you to opt out of on that front. To make any of these requests, just email vincenzo@getlaunchsites.org and we'll verify your request and respond within the timeframe the law allows.
Keeping your data safe
We use reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information, and we work with established providers (like Stripe for payments). No method of storage or transmission is ever 100% secure, but we take it seriously and will tell you if something goes wrong in a way that affects you.
